About XLine Zipline

The XLine at Dubai Marina is the world's longest urban zipline at just over 1 kilometre, launching from a 170-metre-high platform on the roof of Amwaj Tower in JBR and landing at the Dubai Marina Mall. You fly head-first in a horizontal superman position at speeds reaching 80 km/h, suspended 170 metres above the Marina promenade, yacht club, and Ain Dubai observation wheel below. The ride lasts approximately 90 seconds. Two parallel lines run simultaneously, allowing you to zip alongside a partner or friend. The experience includes a safety briefing, equipment fitting (full body harness and helmet), an elevator ride to the rooftop platform, and a GoPro-mounted helmet that records your entire flight in HD. After landing at Marina Mall, you receive the video and photos via a download link same-day. The entire experience takes 45-60 minutes from check-in to completion.

Tips for Visiting XLine Zipline

Book with a friend — the two parallel lines mean you can share the experience and appear in each other's videos.

Wear tight-fitting clothing and secure closed-toe shoes. Nothing loose, dangling, or that could catch in the harness.

Early morning slots (9-10 AM) have the best light for video and photos. Late afternoon gives golden-hour glow but can be backlit.

The initial step off the platform is the scariest moment. Once you're moving, the sensation is pure flight — not a falling feeling.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does XLine Dubai cost?

The XLine zipline costs AED 650 per person, which includes the full safety equipment, briefing, the 1 km ride, and GoPro helmet video/photos delivered digitally the same day. Duo packages (2 people zipping simultaneously) sometimes offer a 10-15% discount.

What are the weight and age requirements for XLine?

Minimum weight: 50 kg. Maximum weight: 100 kg. Minimum age: 12 years old. Maximum age: 65 years old. Anyone aged 12-17 requires signed parental consent. No pregnant women. Good general health required — those with heart conditions or severe fear of heights should not participate.

Is XLine scary?

The platform step-off moment generates genuine fear — you are on a rooftop 170 metres high. However, once you commit and the line takes your weight, the sensation transitions to smooth flight rather than falling. Approximately 95% of booked participants complete the jump. The superman position means you look forward and down at the marina, not at the ground directly below.
