About Sky Views Observatory

Sky Views Observatory at Address Sky View hotel in Downtown Dubai delivers three distinct experiences at 219.5 metres above ground: a glass-floor observation deck (Level 52), a transparent exterior glass slide connecting the hotel's two towers (Levels 52-53), and a hands-free edge walk on the building's outer ledge. At AED 60 for the observatory and slide combined, it's one of the best-value high-altitude attractions in the city — and just 500 metres from the Burj Khalifa, offering unique face-to-face views. The Glass Slide is the signature attraction — a fully transparent tube mounted on the building's exterior that carries you from Level 53 down to Level 52 over 25 seconds. You see the city 220 metres below through clear glass on all sides including the floor. Unlike a traditional slide, the transparency and exterior mounting create a genuine sensation of floating in mid-air. The Edge Walk (separate ticket, AED 449) goes further — you walk along a narrow external ledge harnessed to a rail with no glass barriers, 219 metres above the ground.

Tips for Visiting Sky Views Observatory

The glass slide is included free with the AED 60 observatory ticket — no separate booking needed. Just ask staff when you arrive on Level 52.

Visit at sunset to watch the Burj Khalifa's evening light show from eye level — shows start at 7:30 PM.

The Edge Walk requires 21+, 45-100 kg weight, closed-toe shoes, and advance booking. Sessions run at fixed times.

This is far less crowded than the Burj Khalifa and delivers a more interactive experience at one-third the cost.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the Sky Views ticket?

The standard AED 60 ticket includes: observation deck access on Level 52, glass-floor walkway, and one ride on the exterior glass slide. The Edge Walk is a separate premium experience at AED 449. No food or beverages are included. Tickets are timed-entry — choose your preferred slot when booking online.

Is the glass slide at Sky Views safe for children?

Children aged 5 and over (minimum 1.1m height) can ride the glass slide with parental consent. The slide is fully enclosed — riders cannot fall or get stuck. It moves at controlled speed (approximately 15 km/h) and lasts 25 seconds. Most children find it thrilling and want to ride again. Children under 5 are not permitted on the slide.

How does Sky Views compare to Burj Khalifa?

Sky Views (219m) is lower than Burj Khalifa Level 124 (452m) but offers interactive thrills — the glass slide and edge walk — that Burj Khalifa lacks. It's also AED 60 vs AED 149+, and far less crowded. The unique advantage: being 500m from the Burj Khalifa means you get close-up face-to-face views of the tower itself, which you obviously cannot get from inside the Burj.
